Amecameca opens shelter for women and their children in situations of violence

#Edoméx.- With the purpose of providing women who have suffered aggression with a safe space where they can resume their lives, Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza inaugurated a shelter for women, their daughters and sons in situations of violence, which provides free lodging, food, clothing, medical, educational, psychological, legal and social work services.

«It is a very important space to attend to women who have been violated, who have suffered violence, harassment, harassment, their families, their children and who often have to leave home, precisely because of acts of violence, and here in this space they are received.

«These are spaces that operate 24 hours a day and provide several services; first of all, support, medical attention, psychological support, legal accompaniment and also a space where they can be living, so that, through these spaces, they can be accompanied in such difficult moments», explained the Governor.

During his visit to this space, the state governor took the opportunity to reiterate that his administration is firmly committed to preventing, combating and eradicating this type of aggression against women, and that this space, located in Amecameca, will also serve the population of 13 municipalities in the Volcanoes Region.
